CreditEase delivers both a Web and Smart Client (desktop) user interface (UI). The web UI is developed using Asp.Net (Ajax) pages written in VB.net; while the Smart Client is a rich Windows Forms-based application, built using C# utilising the Composite Application Block (CAB) architecture from the Patterns and Practices division at Microsoft.

The Smart Client UI runs in parallel to the Web based UI, supporting the same business processes and sharing common business and data layers.

The CreditEase business and data layers are exposed via a service façade, currently as an ASMX web service written in VB.net

Microsoft BizTalk is used for rule processing and integration with other systems, with existing integration available to all the major credit bureaus and financial payment gateways.

The foundation of the system is the database which has been upgraded to use Microsoft ®SQL Server 2008. Operational reports are delivered using SQL Server Reporting Services while management analysis is delivered via a suite of Qlikview models.

The architecture also allows for the ability to adapt the design to use a wide variety of different human-based workflow products, security protocols and data transport protocols.
